SELEX Sistemi Integrati provides maritime traffic control authorities with turn-key solutions to guarantee safety of human lives at sea, prevent environment pollution, improve the efficiency of commercial traffic and fight illegal activities at sea.
VTMS are designed and produced by SELEX Sistemi Integrati (a IALA member since 1990) to meet all international requirements, whilst ensuring simple and modular architecture, redundancy as required, automatic reconfiguration, remote diagnostics and easy "real time" maintenance.
SELEX Sistemi Integrati's VTMS includes a powerful PMIS (Port Management and Information System) enabling the "just in time" allocation of resources, even via WEB and providing port authorities with intelligible complete and up-to-date information on the navigation plan of ships, their arrival times, their load sheets and all the data that enables the optimisation of port management operations.
SELEX Sistemi Integrati is responsible for the design, production and maintenance of the Italian national VTMS (the largest system in the world), developed for the Italian Ministry of Transports and managed by the Italian Coast Guard.
SELEX Sistemi Integrati monitors its VTMS systems for their entire life-cycle by providing standard services such as field engineering and industrial repairs, as well as innovative ones as WEB Services, monitoring and remote assistance.
