SELEX Sistemi integrati stems from the Anglo-Italian joint-venture Alenia Marconi Systems (AMS) and its predecessor Selenia.  The company, now a fully owned Finmeccanica company, has a customer base in 150 countries and a fifty-year know-how. Right from the birth of SELEX Sistemi Integrati in 2005, the company has been addressing growth aspirations along two strategic lines:

• to confirm its leadership in the traditional land and naval radar business lines
• to pursue a new mission as leading player in Large Systems for security and defence

A leader in product technological innovation - about 20% of revenues are invested in R&D programmes - SELEX Sistemi Integrati is also committed to internal process management through the application of the Integrated Project Team (IPT) model - project teams joining in all the relevant company functions - to each business activity.
The company is particularly committed to customer support, a field in which it operates jointly with its systems' end users, defining tailored solutions to ensure efficient, timely and continuous assistance.
As to health, safety and environment management, SELEX Sistemi Integrati endorses top policies in compliance with principles common to all the Finmeccanica group. The company also cherishes employee quality enhancement objectives, a factor entailing value creation and strengthening of identity.
The company initiative named "Progetto Benessere" is along these lines, and has succeeded in creating a company kindergarten in the Rome HQ, organising student placements for employees' children.
