SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a Finmeccanica company, designs and develops Large Systems for Homeland Protection, systems and radars for air defence, battlefield management, naval defence, air and airport traffic management, coastal and maritime surveillance.
With a fifty-year track record in system integration, SELEX Sistemi Integrati has a customer base in 150 countries and complete mastery of advanced technologies - the company's true wealth and expertise - as well as an extensive commercial offer of state-of-the-art solutions, backed up by full logistic support.
In Italy SELEX Sistemi Integrati is located in Rome, Fusaro (Naples), Giugliano (Naples), Genoa, La Spezia and Taranto. The company has also a strong international presence in Germany (SELEX Sistemi Integrati GmbH - weather radar systems), in the US (SELEX Systems Integration Inc - navigation aids) and in the United Kingdom (SELEX Systems Integration). Other plants are in France, Spain and Netherlands.
At the beginning of 2009 Finmeccanica has transferred the activities and resources of VEGA Group PLC company acquired in April 2008 into SELEX Sistemi Integrati Ltd (a UK company owned by SELEX Sistemi Integrati SpA) which, at the same time, has changed its name into SELEX Systems Integration Ltd. In addition, VEGA’s consulting activities have been concentrated in one independent company, VEGA Consulting Services Ltd - which is a wholly owned subsidiary of SELEX Systems Integration Ltd – active in the supply of consulting and customer care services.
The reorganization plan permits to reinforce the consulting, prime contracting and systems integration capabilities, especially in the UK, increasing the client portfolio in a key sector such as Defence Electronics and Security.
SELEX Sistemi Integrati, that has about 4,200 employees, is a leader in Research and Development, thanks to annual investments amounting about  20% of the revenue.
